Delete Your Account
Request removal of your DesignWallah account and personal data.
If you no longer wish to use DesignWallah, you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. This page explains how the process works.
Who can request deletion
Account holders (students, teachers, parents, and staff) may request deletion of their own login account. Parents or legal guardians may request deletion on behalf of a minor student, subject to verification by the school.
How to request deletion
- Contact your school administrator — Most accounts are managed by your institution. Email or visit your school office and ask to delete your DesignWallah account.
- Provide identifying details — Include your full name, login ID or registered email, role, and a clear statement that you want your account deleted.
- Verification — Your school may verify your identity before processing the request to prevent unauthorized deletion.
- Confirmation — Once processed, you will receive confirmation from your school or platform administrator. You will no longer be able to sign in.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize:
- Your login credentials and session tokens.
- Profile information linked to your user account (name, email, phone).
- Access to courses, tests, and other platform features tied to your login.
What may be retained
Some records may be kept where required by law or legitimate institutional needs, such as:
- Academic transcripts, attendance, and exam records maintained by the school.
- Fee receipts and financial records required for auditing or tax compliance.
- Security and activity logs retained for a limited period to investigate incidents.
Retained records are no longer associated with an active login where deletion has been completed, unless the school must keep identifiable records under applicable regulations.
Processing time
Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days of verified approval. Complex requests involving linked family or academic records may take longer; your administrator will inform you if additional time is needed.
Mobile app users
If you use the DesignWallah mobile app, deleting your account through your school will also revoke mobile access. Sign out of the app after deletion is confirmed. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account or data.
